Historical Facts :-
  •  Several thousands years ago during prehistoric period, some evidence proved that Madhya Pradesh was inhabited by humans. That evidence can be found in Bhimbetka Rock shelters. This archeological site has been related with the times of Mahabharata .Bhim betka means Bhimbaithka or the sitting place of Bhim.




  •  During its ancient time Madhya Pradesh different parts wer ruled by number of kingdoms like Mauryan empire, Satavahanas, Sakas, Kushanas, Rashtrakuta dynasty, Rajuputs, Chandelas, Paramaras of Malwa, Mughals and considerable time of Marthas rule continued in Madhyapradesh.
  •  Madhya Pradesh was created in 1950 just After Indian Independence with Central Provine, Berar, Princely states of Makrai, Chhattisgarh and Nagpur. That time states’ capital was Nagpur. Due to Marathi dominance in Nagpur region, Nagpur was  separated with Vidarbha in 1956. And Nagpur was annexed with then Bombay state. Therefore new states – Madhya Bharat, Vindya Bharat, Bhopal created and in 1956 during state’s reorganization three states jointly formed the state Madhya Pradesh. Thus the newly created state capital Bhopal named.
  •  At that time Madhya Pradesh was the largest state in India. But in the year of 2000 by the state’s reorganization Act the new state Chhattisgarh created. 



  •  The famous UNESCO world heritage site Khajuraho group of temples are built by Chandelas in Madhya Pradeh. Which is situated near Jhansi. 

Geographical Facts :-
  • With total area of 308252 Km2 Madhya Pradesh is the 2nd largest sate in India.
  •  And it is surrounded by few states like – on the east Chhattisgarh, northeast by Uttar Pradesh , northwest by Rajasthan,  west by Gujarat, and at last southern part of state is bordered by Maharashtra.
  • Due to its geographical position Madhya Pradesh was called Central Province of India.
  • The highest peak of Madhya Pradesh is Dhupgarh with the altitude of 1359 metres.
  • There are more than 20% area in Madhya Pradesh is under forest. Because of that at least 10 national parks can be seen in this state.

  •  Among them Kanha National park is known for its tiger reserve. It is thought that the famous Jungle Book comics  was based on this national park. It is also the largest national in Madhya Pradesh.
  • Another one is Pench National Park which is known as a tiger reserve. And in the book of Ain-i-Akbari this national parks tiger reserve is mentioned.  The forest parts are also described in some western media also. Which has number of Royal Bengal Tiger.
  • Some of the biosphere reserves are also present in Madhya Pradesh. Few of them are Panchmari, Amarkantak, Panna biosphere reserves are well known. 


                                                                
  • The most  important river in Madhya Pradesh is Narmada. With few more are Shipra (which is famous for Kumbh mela), Betwa, Ken, Son, Mahanadi, Chambal river  etc.



Transportation Facts :-
  • Madhya Pradesh is well connected with rest of the India by Road, Rail and air.
  • Road – numerous national highway ; NH19, NH27,NH30, NH34 etc.
  • Rail – Jabalpur serves as the west central railway head quarter. Main railstations are Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Khandwa, Neemuch, and many others.
  • Airport – The airport present in Indore named as devi Aholyabai Holkar airport serves as the main airport in Madhya Prades. Apart from that Raja Bhoj airport at Bhopal, Dumma airport in Jabal pur and many more aioprts are present in the state.

  •          Now the literacy rate of Madhya Pradesh is  improved lot with 70.6% people are literate. Among them females are  65.5 % and males are 82.1% literate.

  • From its ancient time Madhya Pradesh is known for its cultural diversity. The result can be found in the society of the Madhya Pradesh, where you can find different people with various cultural background.
  •  Madhya Pradesh is well known for its classical music and folk songs. Three major classical ghranas of India – Maihar, Gwaliar, Senia Gharana are among present in Madhya Pradesh till date.

  • Now there are three World Heritage sites are present in this state.

Historical Facts:-

1.  In ancient time Chhattisgarh was known as Dakshina Kosala.

2.  During 6 th to 12th centuries Chhattisgarh was ruled by different kingdoms and dynasty, The most prominent among them was Chola dynasty, Sharabhpurias, Kalachuri, Nagavansi and many other.
After that the area captured by the Maratha rulers and again British rulers controlled the position till Indian Independence.

3.  It was during 1920s when  there was a first demand of separate state raised. And in 1990s Chandulal Chandrakar led Chhattisgarh Rajya Nirman Manch intensed the demand. Which came into effect when the bill of separate state passed both houses of parliament. Thus the new Indian state of Chattisgarh created on 1st November 200.

4.  And the name of the state can be raced back during Dakshina Kosala and Maratha Empire time.

                                                                                           
Geographical Facts:-

1.  Total area of Chhattisgarh is 135198.5 km2.

2.  The state is surrounded by some states, in northeast Madhya Pradesh, in the south west Maharashtra, Telangana in south, in the south east Odisha, as well as Jharkhand in northeast and in the north Uttar Pradesh is situated.

3.  In total there are 27 districts at present in this state. And Raipur is the capital and largest city in Chhattisgarh.

4.  There are numerous rivers passing through this state. Among those Mahanadi is the major river but some other like Hasdo, Rihand, Indravati , jonk, Arpa and Shivnath.

5.  The highest point of Chhattisgarh is Gaurlata.

6.   In Chhattisgarh there are number of waterfalls can be seen , which attracts huge amount of tourist in this state. Like Chitrakote Falls which is situated on Indravati river is one of the widest falls in India. And also sometimes referred as the Niagara Falls of India.  

7.  But few places like Koriya which has dense forest and main coal deposit of Chhattisgarh. And also the is a natural water fall known as Amrit dhara waterfall is also tourist attraction place. Chhattisgarh is 17 th largest economy based state in India.
Minerals - Despite low income based state compared to Delhi, Maharashtra, but Chhattisgarh has huge amount of minerals. Today it has 2nd highest coal reserve and  third highest iron ore as well as highest amount of tin production in India. Apart from these Chhattisgarh has sufficient amount of Limestone, bauxite and dolomite.
Agriculture - Chhattisgarh is well known for its rice production also called Rice Bowl of Central India.
Chhattisgarh has huge area under forest. In forest are some trees can be found which are used as commercially for various purposes.  Some of them is Tendu leaves which is used to make Bidis . 
There is small amount of tea production can seen in Jashpur and Surguja which is situated in Chattisgarh.More products are mahua flowers, Sal seeds, honey etc also good commercial goods for Chhattisgarh.
Power sector -  There are number of largest power sector are running in Chhattisgarh. NTPC has a unit in Bilaspur, Korba Super Thermal Power Station and many more. Some private power stations are also producing ample amount of electricity. Today Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board among the commercially success boards in the country.
Steel and Aluminium sector -   Chhattisgarh is famous for its steel production where SAIL has established a plant in Bhilai. The Bhilai steel plant is among the profitable units of SAIL in India. With SAIL there are some other plants situated in Raipur, Bilaspur, Korba, Raigarh, which made Chhattisgarh a steel hub in the country.
There is large production of aluminium is happening in Bharat Aluminium Company Limited which is also established in Chhattisgarh. Now you can imagine how rich Chhattisgarh is !

Information Technology Sector – Now Raipur and newly built Naya Raipur became a top destination for numerous IT companies. Naya Raipur is one of the planned cities in India now. 1.  Chhattisgarh is mainly rural state with near about 80 % people still living in rural areas. And among total population about 50% are categorized as SC,ST. Number of tribes – Teli, Satnami, Kurmi Gond, Halba and Oraon are main groups in the state. But others such as large amount of Bengalis and odia people can be seen there mostly few villages and different parts of cities.

2.  Mostly filled with Hindu community Chhattisgarh is place for various religious groups like Muslims, Buddhist etc.

3.  In recent times Chhattisgarh has changed its value with good governance and education system. There are good amount of schools and colleges are established throughout the state. Thus number of educated state members increased rapidly. This increment of education has resulted a great success of the development in the state.

4.  The number of toilets and proper drinking water supply has begun rapidly. In near future the real problems like sanitation, health facilities and better drinking water distribution can reduce people’s problems.

1.  With Hindu dominant state Chhattisgarh has some famous temple around the state. Some of them are Maa Bamleshwari Devi (Dongargarh), Danteeshwari Temple(Dantewada), Chandrahasini Devi Temple (Janjgir), Banjari Mata Mandir (Raigarh), Jatmai Ghatrani (Raipur), Mahamaya Temple (Bilaspur) are few among them.

2.  It is heard that during Vanvas Lord Rama with his wife Sita and His brother Lakshman were present in different part of the Chattisgarh. Which made people to belief that Chhattisgarh is also a holy place for many  sadhus and saints like Satnami Panth, Kabirpanth, Saint Vallabhacharya etc.
